Welcome to Year 5

We hope you had a lovely break and you are all looking forward to the Spring Term. We will be continuing our year of discovery! This term we will be continuing our hands-on learning, particularly in science, history and engineering. We will  be conducting investigations, creating and making, problem-solving, and using sources of evidence to explore our local area. At the end of the first half-term we will be holding our first Courageous Advocates Week where the whole school will ask ‘big questions’, think globally about life, and develop an understanding of disadvantage, and issues impacting the natural world. Children will also learn more about engaging in social action and understand how they can challenge injustice. We believe that all our children should be active global citizens and look forward to hearing their ideas on how they can make the world a better place.
