We have places available in our current Nursery class!
We have 24 places in our Nursery class and admit children in the September (or January, if places are available) after their third birthday. Parents wishing to apply for a nursery place should complete the Nursery Application Form and return it to the school office. Places will be allocated in line with our published admissions criteria.
All children are entitled to 15 hours free nursery care. You may be entitled to a government childcare voucher for an additional 15 hours, which can be used at the school. Please visit WWW.CHILDCARECHOICES.GOV.UK
Full-time places are available from 8.55am to 3:15pm during term-time. If your child is not eligible for the additional 15 hours, top-up fees can be paid. Please speak to the school staff for more information about this.
Part-time places are also available, from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon each day during term-time.
We have a gradual start for children in September; other than that, Nursery’s term dates are the same as for other classes.
There are 30 places in Reception class. Parents wishing to apply for a Reception place must complete the Reception Place Common Application Form for the borough in which you reside and return it to the admissions team in your home Local Authority. If, after considering our Admissions criteria and you have a Christian religious affiliation that will support your child’s application, you must also complete our Supplementary Information Form and return it to the school office by the closing date which is the 15th January 2024. Places will be allocated in line with our published admissions criteria. Please read our Admissions Policy which gives details of our admissions criteria for the academic year 2024/25.
There are 30 places in each year group from Years 1 to 6. Parents must apply to the local authority at the town hall.
If, after considering our Admissions criteria and you have a Christian religious affiliation that will support your child’s application, you must also complete our SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION FORM and return it to the school office. If a place is not available at the time of application, we will ask you if you wish us to keep your application form in the event that a place later becomes available.
In accordance with Regulation 17 of the School Admissions Regulations 2012, admission arrangements must be formally determined by the responsible admission authority.
The Governing Body of St Clement and St James CE Primary School hereby formally determine the admission arrangements for the academic year of entry 2024/25.
