We are very pleased that Ark Start St Clement is operating from St Clement & St James CE Primary School and can offer nursery places to children from 9 months, term time only or all year round.
Ark Start is not for profit and aim to keep all fees as low as possible. The government is extending the childcare entitlements for working parents and you may be eligible for free childcare. To check eligibility please click here.

Please read our Admissions Policy below which gives details of our admissions criteria.
There are 30 places in Reception class. Parents wishing to apply for a Reception place must complete the Reception Place Common Application Form for the borough in which you reside and return it to the admissions team in your home Local Authority. If, after considering our Admissions criteria and you have a Christian religious affiliation that will support your child’s application, you must also complete our Supplementary Information Form and return it to the school office by the closing date which is the 15th January 2025. Places will be allocated in line with our published admissions criteria. Please read our Admissions Policy which gives details of our admissions criteria for the academic year 2025-26.
There are 30 places in each year group from Years 1 to 6. Parents must apply to the local authority at the town hall.
If, after considering our Admissions criteria and you have a Christian religious affiliation that will support your child’s application, you must also complete our SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION FORM and return it to the school office. If a place is not available at the time of application, we will ask you if you wish us to keep your application form in the event that a place later becomes available.
In accordance with Regulation 17 of the School Admissions Regulations 2012, admission arrangements must be formally determined by the responsible admission authority.
The Governing Body of St Clement and St James CE Primary School hereby formally determine the admission arrangements for the academic year of entry 2024/25.
