St Clement & St James is a school with love, faith and hope at its heart. We welcome and celebrate every child, helping all children to develop their character and a love of learning. Our school vision is rooted in biblical teaching as defined by 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8a
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
How then shall we live?
We promote high aspirations and a love of learning through a rich and varied curriculum.
We include many children of other faiths or no faith, and it is very important to us that all feel welcome and included in the St Clement and St James family.
Our Christian values help us both show and grow faith, hope and love:
Our children always do their best and achieve the highest standards in their learning regardless of their starting points or backgrounds.
Our children are friendly and considerate to one another. We aim to create a happy, loving school where children support each other and can work through difficulties together.
Adults listen to children and value their ideas.
We value worship and recognise that it is the heartbeat of the school.
Children have opportunities to grow spiritually through prayer, worship and reflection.
We take part in daily acts of Christian worship and teach Christian traditions and values that are rooted in Christian theology.
